Maple Street/Willard Street Storm Sewer Project
Work began the week of September 20, 2021 on Willard Street with the removal of the entire road base. The street will then be reconstructed and paved.
Work on the storm sewers will begin next, with the storm sewers running through easements on private property and will be interconnected to the existing storm sewer near the new rail platform.
The new parking area for the rail platform is also included in this project. The work will be occurring close to the street, so at times there will be one-way traffic with traffic control, so we ask drivers to please pay attention when travelling through the area and to allow for additional travel time.
The majority of the work will be complete in about 6 weeks.
If you have questions on the day-to-day construction work, please direct them to Jeff Mangini of Otter Creek Engineering (mangini@ottercrk.com). He or an associate will be on-site daily and have up-to-date information.
For overall project questions, please contact to Director of Public Works Planning Dan Werner at (802) 388-4045 or dwerner@townofmiddlebury.org.
