Reconstruction of Colonial Drive

This construction season, the Colonial Drive loop will be re-constructed.

This project of $1,116,235 is being funded by Wastewater Department Capital Improvement, Water Department Capital Improvement and Highway Department Capital Improvement Funds.

New sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main will be installed. Finally, the street surface will be recycled and paved. A significant portion of this project is stormwater improvements. The culverts under driveways will be removed and new catch basins installed. Driveway aprons will be re-paved to match the new street surface.

Materials and equipment are being mobilized. The contractor, Champlain Construction will be digging some test holes to locate underground structures in the next week or so.

The main construction work will begin later in May. As of this writing, the contactor will start at the southwestern loop. Construction will likely wrap up in November.

There will be times when thru traffic around the loop will be closed. You will need to use the other entrance from Washington Street. Traffic control and signage will be used. Please be aware.
