POTABLE WATER SUPPLY

For those along the Route 116 corridor who are under a “boil water” advisory, the Police Department is taking delivery on Sunday of bottled water for distribution to the affected area.

Thanks to a donation to the Red Cross from Anheuser-Busch, we are able to get a robust supply of bottled water for those under the boil water advisory. Thanks also to Israel Dwire at DPW for doing the pickup and transport of water from the Red Cross storage facility.

Water will be available Monday morning after 8:30 am and may be picked up anytime until supplies run out at the police storage garage on Lucius Shaw Lane between 6 am and 10 pm Monday-Saturday. Emergency after-hours pickup  can be arranged by calling Middlebury Police at 802-388-3191. We are also seeking volunteers who can take a supply for their neighborhoods to make distribution easier.

PPE FOR MOLD REMEDIATION

Do you have a mold problem in your home due to water infiltration? Regardless of whether or not you’re on the boiled water advisory,  the police have a limited supply of nitrile gloves, N95 masks and face shields that can be picked up at the police storage garage on Lucius Shaw Lane.

POLICE STATION RE-OPENING

We anticipate re-opening the police station on Monday, August 6.  Regardless, we will have a staff person at the police garage for water and PPE pickup  commencing Monday August 6 by 8:30 am.
