Assessor & Lister

The Town of Middlebury's Assessor & Listers' Office is available to assist with any questions/concerns that someone might have regarding their property's assessment. The Office is responsible for:

  • the appraisal and assessment of all taxable real estate,
  • the maintenance of property information records, sales information, and tax maps,
  • the preparation of the Town Grand List, &
  • providing information to other departments, outside agencies, and to the general public as requested
Property Record Cards are available online (see the navigation buttons to the left). Property and tax-related information is available to the public 5-days a week in cabinets in the hallway just outside the Assessor/Listor's office during regular business hours.

Note: If you are seeking a copy of a tax bill, or have any specific questions about taxes owned on a property, please contact the Town's Finance staff.
