The Middlebury Town Clerk's Office provides the citizens of the Town with a wide array of services, including: the administration and preservation of vital public records (marriage, birth, and death certificates) and the maintaining and recording various property records (deeds, mortgages, permits).
The Clerk's Office also is responsible for the issuing of numerous state/local licenses (marriage, dog), issuing State Department of Motor Vehicle registration renewals, the registering of voters, and the conducting of all local elections (including the maintaining of the Town voter lists). The issuing of Green Mountain Passports to Vermont State Parks are also handled by the Clerk's Office staff.
