Registering to Vote And Town Elections

The Town Clerk's Office is available to assist the public in registering to vote in the State of Vermont. In addition to the information available below, please contact the Town Clerk's staff for any specific questions you have on ensuring your participation in upcoming local/state/federal elections.

Vermont State Primary Election - Tuesday, August 13, 2024, 7am-7pm
  • Polling Place: 154 Creek Road (Middlebury Recreation Center), Middlebury, VT 05753
  • Requests for Absentee Ballots must be made before Wednesday, August 7, at 5pm
  • Here is a link to the Official Warning of the Vermont Primary Election
  • Reminder to Absentee Voters: Please follow directions on all ballots and envelopes carefully! You will receive ballots for Democratic, Progressive, and Republican Party candidates, but may only vote on ballot. Your voted ballot goes in its own marked envelope. You unvoted ballots must go into their own marked envelope. Both envelopes must be sealed into the return envelope and returned to the Middlebury Town Clerk's Office at 77 Main Street before Tuesday, August 13th.
